Previously, I have written about Colour Picker Plugin for Firefox, which is a handy tool for web designer, webmaster, and blog owners. There are time where you need to make sure that adsense is embeded into your design, therefore, you will need to same colour.

There is a comment from korabi that installing this colour picker may take too much resources. Browsing through websites and programs, I manage to find anouther colour picker software which is free for use and it is only 580kb installation file.

ColorPic have much more function compare to the Firefox Plugin and it is a standalone software. It was easily installed on my Windows Vista. You can grab upto 16 colours at one time. The colour will be shown in RGB, CMYK, and Web Colour Code.

This is a look at the control panel, it is easy, just run the software and use ctrl+g wheneven you want to grab a colour.

News.com was reporting that Google Adsense go Mobile, I was pretty interested to see what is available, although I do not think that I have the resources to make my website mobile friendly.

This should be a move for Google going towards the long spoken GPhone. It should be big as the phone is said that GPhone is sponsored by ads which make the phone cheap.

After confirming and reading more about this at Problogger,  I tried logging on to my adsense account to see if the function is available. This is what I got:-

* We do not currently offer AdSense for Mobile in Malaysia.

It is not available for Malaysia yet, not sure what country does it support currently.

Windows Live Writer is like a word processor on your Windows, but it is actually to post entries to your blogs without having to go through the hassle logging in your blog account.

It works with not only Microsoft Live Spaces but other platform is also compatible, including Wordpress and Bloggers at Blogspot.com. The function is pretty standard with ability to insert hyperlink, pictures, tables, maps, Technorati tags and video from the web.

There are few benefit I could find:-

1. You could actually blog offline and publish them later.
2. Check spelling before it you post your entry.
3. Multiple blog controls
4. The best features is that you are able to have more plugins which would increase the features. There is only 63 plugins now but I would expect it to increase, check Windows Live Writer Plugins.

Windows Live Writer also download the templates from your website and letting you know how it would looks like when it is published. Take a look at my screen

It is pretty neat and clean look.

UPDATES – It actually appear pretty nicely, and I am able to resize the picture on windows, I am starting to like this.

When Google introduce Adsense for Search, some of the bloggers may delete the code for their search function and the replace them with Google Search. This is because when user click on the ads shown on the search result page, blog owner will get paid.

Google search is not as good as the initial search embeded in Google because new post will not be included in Google Search. Google Search on a blog is only update when it is spidered, unless your blog is frequently update, spider is now schedule to crawl your homepage daily.

All you have to do is to add a code on the url to search the wordpress blog. Blog must be powered by Wordpress. You just add a small code /?s= behind the domain.

For example:
Search term is “Wordpress Plugins”
Type in your browser: http://www.blog-url.com/?s=Wordpress+Plugins

Everyone out there is talking about Blogrush. A lot of big time bloggers is using them, JohnChow and ShoeMoney. I am a little late into this referral game as most people is already exposed with the publicity given by those big time bloggers.

Blogrush users earn some credit for each pageview the have with the widget installed. In return, some of your post will be featured on other blogs in the same category base on the your credit.

Because Blogrush have a referral system, 10 level referral system. It would be beneficial if you join them early. Which is why I have missed out there. Another benefit is when there is high traffic to your website, it would definately be benefit from this a lot.

Doubtful that it will be beneficial for smaller blogs
I am doubtful if your blog is new as mine would benefit from such a program as I have less readers and referral would be little to none. I would actually think that it would not benefit new / small blogs. But nothing to lose to give it a try.
