Blogrush has finally finished its updates. Those who survived through the 10,000 downsizing will be able to login and check their blogs report. It seems that blogrush is implementing its bonus credit for those who are not having high traffic to their blogs as I was concern that Blogrush will only benefit high traffic blogs.

If you view it properly, the bonus credit is not working at the moment, I hope it does as I have having more bonus credit than my normal credit. This is crucial in improving traffics to blogs.

This is the report page which you could specify the date range but not according to blogs.

After changing the headlines for Blogrush, it does not seems like a good trick because I am not quite sure if it works or bring traffic to the specific topics.

I must say that Gmail is one of the most useful tool online that I most probably could not live without. Previously Hotmail have been such a hit but even I did not use them back then. The reason is because my hotmail is Spam and Spammed everyday. If you know the history, Hotmail is not started by Microsoft and it survive pretty much be selling the contacts away. Which is why my email is always in the spam list.

Even until today, Hotmail spam filters can’t do anything to prevent this spammers. Only if I were to register a new account with a different username. Take a look at my hotmail from July 26th up until today (Oct 31st). I have a total of 139 emails and only 17 is filtered as junk. But the fact is that all of it is junk. I do not use this email neither read any of the emails.

Sad to say that I had 1GB in my hotmail but gmail is providing me 4.5GB already. Microsoft is really lagging in the Spam protection and the space (eventhough 1GB is already abundance).

New register hotmail does not have this problem, this only happen to those who register their hotmail account before Microsoft bought them over.

This is a pretty good moment for RiceBlogger as the first time I had been StumbleUpon for compiling the list of Blogs with Top Commentators Wordpress Plugin. Although the traffic is still low compare to big blogs, my traffic went up tremendously, and it feels great.

I never knew those buttons helps, but luckily I gave it a try and code them into my theme. As you can see from the traffic chart below, before this the traffic averages out about 20-30+ users but Oct 29th it hits 243 visits.

As a blogger, the aim is to provide quality post, but it is hard to figure out what is consider quality for other users. Therefore, we give each article some good thoughts before publishing them.

I found this from Problogger. After all the serious mumbo jumbo about PageRank ups and downs, here is something to cheer those who lost their PageRank. It may be good to mess with PageRank logo.

I have listed a huge list of PageRank 2 to PageRank 7 Wordpress blogs with Top Commentators Wordpress Plugin. It seems that there is a lot of people debating about the strategy used.

Personally, I think that this is a good way to position your blog and do a little give back to your reader (more accurately commentators). Since the blog owner is the one who control the plugin and comments. 

Benefits of Top Commentators

1. Have return commentators. When commentators are motivated to be on top, they will come back and read your blog and they will leave a comment by giving their idea. If their idea is not constructive or not related, you could delete them.
2. Give credit those who contribute to your content of your homepage. This is just small credit when you are holding their comment as long as your blog live.
3. Your which are few days old may be updated for some time before becomming dead. This is good as content is refreshed.

The negative side of Top Commentators Plugin, never forget the negative side.

1. Blog owner will definately face SPAM, but Akismet does most of the job while those who slip through could be deleted easily. Nevertheless, it requires time to maintain healthy blog content with healthy comments.
2. Time to control comments and reading it.
3. Loyalty of commentators is questionable when you lose some ranking.

Here is some of the option you could edit from your Top Commentators Plugin

First top circle is to control the refresh priod. When set weekly, every 7 days Top Commentators will be empty. Recommended to be shorter period once you have more commentators.

Second Circle is to filter some of the bad words (which i have removed) or some obvious advertising word like drugs, vulgar words or xxx stuff.

Third circle is specifically filtering out an url when the website owner is really bothering you a lot. I do not have any until now, do not believe you need it but it is a protection you could get.
