One of the thing I have learn in the past week is to spend time on things which I am potentially earning more money. The formula used is to divide your income for the past 1 year to hourly pay.

Lets say RM10k / 260 (working days) / 8 hours (working hours). You will get your hourly pay. Spend time doing things which would earn you more money than that and try delegating most of the daily repetitive job to someone else.

My daily 10 hours job have been pretty busy and I am actually doing another website using Joomla. I must say that I had fun trying out Joomla and it is actually a pretty good CMS and there is a lot of component and module to expand your Joomla function.

Joomla is not as easy to use as WordPress, but it is much more flexible with more features and plugin for different kind of needs out there. Take a peek at my latest invention http://www.malaysianfoodreview.com and let me have your opinion.

Funny that I found out that w00t is the word of the year 2007 when I did not even use it before. I have seen people using them in games and chat room, but have not actually use them. w00t! I have done it.

It seems that more and more of the Internet jargon is getting into dictionary these days. As you can see, Google is an official word. “Try Google the word”

The next thing going to be in dictionary is most probably the abbreviation that  most people use in their daily life to type sms to their friends.

My usual way to download and convert YouTube video does not work anymore, I was kind of disappointed as it is web base service and it converts as you download it, which is fast.

But I really wanted to copy this Guy Sebastian & Paulini ‘s Receive the Power song. It is the theme song for World Youth Day 2008, in Sidney. You could download the original mp3 version of the World Youth Day 2008 theme song but not the video.

This technique is slightly different but it works.

1. First you will need this Firefox Plugin to Download YouTube video (flv).
2. Then you need a free converter to the format you need. Download Free flv to mp4 or Download free fly to avi/mpeg/wmv.
3. You are done! no more steps!

I am currently in the process of finding a nice theme and maybe edit it a little so that it does not look like most theme out there in the market. This may not be the final theme but I kind of like the clean look and the track back being at the bottom of all comments. It have the clean look.

What is most people criteria in looking for a theme?
It is important to look for certain criteria as you do not want to change the code too much, unless you are good with it.

1. Color – You always want to choose some color theme which suite your topic, it is most probably suitable to have dark/black background when you have picture to enhance.  But black background with white word may not be suitable for long posts.
2. Column – This is decided depending on how many plugins and advertisements you are planing to have at your blog. More advertisements may not look bad if you have organized them within your theme.
3. Fixed Width / Not – Fixed width will usually need some plugin like Batch Image Upload. This is because some wide image uploaded may eventually cover your sidebars. The same plugin may not help you in variable width theme, as when the viewer is having a small screen, all table will be reduced.
4. User Friendly – Navigation Panel for your website is important to make your visitor stay longer and may increase your loyalty because people find it easy to find information from your website. Choose something which is suitable.

Now I just need to look for a nicer picture and do some alteration. Any idea?

Mac Menubar has been quite a cool feature and here is your chance to have them for your website. This is quite a nice design with by using Fisheye jQuery. You could have this menu bar for your website or embedded with you theme. There is quite some script out there using Fisheye, but nDesign has one of the nicest out there.

Download Mac Menubar script and learn how to use them here. With little knowledge using html and changing some of the image and position, you are good to go with your website.

I tried combining this Apple Mac Menubar with this floating menu script, unfortunately the Fisheye is unable to float along with the menu. If you have the solution to this, let me know. I am interested to know.
