This is going to be huge when Microsoft tries to acquire the other half of the search engine marketshare. As you know one half is already owned by Google, a bigger portion. Even after the acquisition Microsoft will be lag behind Google.
I don’t really like the idea because when Google and Microsoft decides in a close meeting room that they will start charging for email service. This includes any other service tyey offered. What is the public going to do? It is easier to do that with 2 parties rather than 3 parties.
But I strongly thinks that it will fall through as Yahoo! is slowing losing marketshare. I think compare to Google, Yahoo! is less innovative and needs more money to invest in new trend and explore.
What is your outlook on this if it falls through?
Microsoft always aquire other people 1. I don’t know they can stand for how long only.
Steven: This is always the strategy to run business to grow bigger. Anyway they are using the public money to do that, since they are listed company.
