Sold A Twitter Account

Posted by Adi Wong On March - 13 - 2009

Yup, I actually sold a twitter account. I registered it earlier with some plans to use it to market my blog or forming a group tweet with it. This twitter account was an account with something got to do with making money and have about 100+ followers (which is not bad for a account that has less than 20 tweets). Since I did not have the time to utilize it, I sold it to Greg when he offered me $50 to buy that twitter account. It is not a large sum of money but it does addup to my monthly online income, so it is a good news.

Also, remember to follow me on my twitter.

Sardinia: they can’t monetize it but say for example if you get http://www.twitter.com/problogger
    - does that worth something to you?

  3. Wow Adi!

I’d never even thought of selling twitter accounts.

We keep hearing people talking about flipping websites, but twitter accounts? that’s awesome.

I wonder what an account with a thousand followers and a few hundred tweets would be worth?

I’d be keen to hear your thoughts on this….

  5. I have a question, how did you find the buyer? Its not hard to build an account up to 100 followers, so why would they pay? Unless they were extremely targeted?
