There are a lot of blog directory out there where you could get some exposure and some link back to your blog. Some of it are free and some of it are paid. Although, Google may pay more attention and priority to paid directory, when you are poor/cheapskate, free is always the best way to go. Here are some good way of marketing your blog on the Internet

Website Directory
Website directory is a general directory where by everyone with a website will be allowed to submit themselves into this directory. It will generally accept business website, personal website, commercial website, blogs, and any other website out there when it fits its criteria and categories.

Blog Directory
Blog directory is more specific since there are so many blogs coming up each day. Blog directory is usually categorize according to your blog content and usually there is more than one that fits your blog but you will pick those that are most suitable. You only submit once and wait for their approval.

Feed Directory
Feed directory is slightly different because it only accepts feed and not your blog url. Therefore some people may submit their feedburner or their rss feeds generated by their blog. This is similar to blog directory but it promotes a every new post on your blog rather than your blog url. If your blog is updated, you will get an extra link.

The good news is that blogs could actually submit themselves into this three types of directory. Here is some list of the directories which you could include you blog into.

Dmoz
This is widely use and you will get a huge boost when you get your website approved. But it is hard and I personally never get any website of mine approved after 3 years of trying.

2RSS is a feed directory

All Blogs
It accepts all French and English directory, but if you are submitting English blog

Best Blogs Asia
This is one of the famous directory for Asian bloggers.

Blog Catalog
Another famous blog directory

BlogDigger
This is a search engine for blog feed.
