Picnik and FotoFlexer recently provide their service for free. Free is always the best service online as this is not the stuff that I would pay to get my photo done. Both of the web-base photo editor is actually quite similar with their basic function of rotate, crop, red-eye fix and both had auto-fix (wonder what the fix).
Picnik offers a wide range of functions and it does not require any login to upload or download. Here you are able to do the following:-
- Boarders
- Text
- Effects – Sepia, Black & White, Night Vision, Cinema Scope, Invert and much more
- Some simple touch up
- There is 2 advance feature for premium customer who pays but I have no idea how to use them as well. (Premium Service for USD24.95/year)
FotoFlexer is the first who offers the free service and their feature is a little more than picnik. Best of all, there is no premium service. Similarly you do not have to login to upload or download your picture. You will find their basic tool similar but some extras in the advance tool.
- Smart Scissors – This is a nice tool to change background of a picture
- Morph
- Distort (see my pic)
- Adding layers to image
- Other similar feature that picnik has too.
Overall, free photo editor is always good. One of the website down, you have alternative. Cheers to Picnik and FotoFlexer!
