WordPress My Top Commentators Plugins

Posted by Adi Wong On June - 13 - 2008

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Also you might want to check out my Malaysia Top 100 Blogs List. Thanks for visiting!

This is actually a very good plugins for those who would like to track your commentators. This plugins is unlike the Top Commentators WordPress Plugins, it is only a reference for the blog owner and not to be shown to everyone else. You could also choose track them secretly.

You could sort and view the top commentators base on today, yesterday, last 7 days, this month, last month, this year and last year. This is good for those who publish their top commentators each month to reward their blog reader.

I have not installed them, therefore I am using this print screen from the creator of My Top Commentators Plugins.

I wonder why would someone like to track the commentators like this. I mean, instead of doing something useful is any blogger wasting his time checking what was that top 2 days ago, what was the top 7 days ago, what was the top 2 months ago, and so on? To me this plugin seems like a way to killing time, not a useful tool.

Solo: I think you as a blog owner could find different ways to reward your visitor…..so some blog owner would actually post their top commentators on a blog post

Very nice plugin. You are wrong Mr. Solo, commenting is one of the most important thing in blogging. So Top Commentators plugin is the right thing to put.

Forumistan, I’m afraid you didn’t read the post you’re commenting on. That’s very sad!

This post is not about the Top Commentators plugin that is a very useful one.

This post is about My Top Commentators plugin, which is different. If you read the post you’re commenting on (!), then you see that this plugin “is only a reference for the blog owner and not to be shown to everyone else.”

Posting meaningless comments without actually reading the posts you comment is usually labeled “spam”.

Adi, if you really care about your blog, you shouldn’t allow such comments. Of course this is only a suggestion. Is not my blog, but yours.
