Yahoo! Web Analytics

Posted by Adi Wong On October - 9 - 2008

I am actually quite happy with website statistics provided by Google Analytics together with Sitemeter stats. On top of this two great website statistics provider, I am also using Woopra because I enjoyed the live statistics on my website visitor. Google Analytics on the other hand is quite slow in its stats and the timezone is messed up, but does provide me a good range data.

Yahoo! Web Analytics is currently at beta stage and unfortunately I am also unable to register for an account. Hopefully Yahoo! Web Analytics will be able provide us with some better stats that no other analytics could provide. From its front page, these are the following features:-

  • Basic Analytics Features
  • Custom Design Report
  • Drag and Drop customization dashboard
  • Live statistics (within minutes)

  1. Thanks for the heads up. I’m pretty happy with Google Analytics as well, but I might have to check out Yahoo’s offering.

This is good news to know. I use Google Analytics and Statcounter together as well and they work as a good combo. If Yahoo can produce an application that has the qualities of both, I would use it.

A new tool. Will try it. ;)

  5. It can only be beneficial that Yahoo! has joined the web analytics category of programs because it means that they will either make the leading product or cause Google, for example, to improve theirs to maintain the lead.
