If you have a lot of wordpress blogs like me, you will soon discover that you have trouble maintaining them and logging to each on of them to make some updates. I have too many blogs with wordpress and also website that is powered by wordpress. With ManageWP, you can manage multiple wordpress blogs for Free. The controls is quite powerful.

You can control your posts, pages, categories, tags, comments, plugins, themes, updates and users from their control panel. Moreover, there is tabs each time you open up something so you can switch between different blog posting very quickly and update them with one single login.  The control panel basically looks like below.

ManageWP is currently in beta, and the user guide is quite limited, to get started, you will need to download their Worker Plugin, uplaod and activate it. Then you will need to provide your url, username, and password. This is my only concern as I have to give my password to all my blogs, you will have to expose them to ManageWP.  I might be more comfortable with the ManageWP self hosted version when they are out, but it will cost some money I believe.

Getting a design converted from PSD to Wordpress tedious work if you do not know what you are up to. There are services out there that charges for conversion. Devine Project is actually a free tool where you can convert PSD to Wordpress Theme for free, yup, you can download and make your own theme for free. Of course, there is limitation but it is more than sufficient for you to make a theme with the free software provided by them.

I tried, it is not that simple, but they have some great step-by-step tutorial where you can follow to create the theme of your imagination.

I had always like to make classifieds website as my very first website that makes me some money is my malaysia classifieds (http://www.Syiok.com). At the same time, I also like wordpress a lot because of its user friendliness, great seo, its free themes (also paid theme is just great), plugins, and tones of reason I like wordpress. Having a Classifieds Theme / Plugin for Wordpress is simply superb.

Classipress had made a great classifieds out of Wordpress. I still maintain the permalink, which will be great for seo purpose. Wordpress trackbacks, Update Services for sites like Technorati, user friendliness and other plugins could be added on top of this.

Check out my new classifieds site, Geekyfieds. that is dedicated to trading gadgets, games, console, trading cards and toys. It is targeted towards a specific group. At the front, I just change the logo, and everything else is original.

It also has a dashboard for your users to pause or edit their ads, rather than going into wordress admin to edit post.

Also it uses the Wordpress email confirmation for user registration and has a built in spam filters on each ads posting which is simply great for classifieds script. Here are some extra features which I like:-

• Separate image management for classifieds
• Ad pruning – to delete ads after some specific set time
• Google Map features
• Adding banner ads is very easy, although I always like to put into the code when I like the ads to appear
• Ajax – some swift design when you click on “post a classifieds’
• Drop down menu for classifieds category
• Cheap classifieds script! Very cheap!

Configuring it is very easy and it is said that you can make use of the custom fields to get more different fields, I have yet to try this out.

I am mostly into free classifieds website, but if you would like to charge your visitor for posting, you can also do so with this classifieds plugins. If you are interested to start a classifieds website, you should take a look at this.

I was browsing around for wordpress and I stumble across this great Wordpress Directory plugin. If you intend to have a directory and do not have the money to buy a php directory scripts like PhpMyDirectory or PhpLinkDirectory, you can give this a try because it is simply free.

Wordpress is always a great CMS to me, because I am comfortable editing its code and its theme. On top of that, because it is a a wordpress directory plugin, you could take advantage of Wordpress’s permalink that is always my preferred method because of its search engine friendlyness. Not to mention you could use other great features like trackbacks, ping feed aggregator, have rss feeds easily, widgets friendly panel and much more.

Currently Directory Press has 11 different themes on their website and it looks pretty professional.

I have yet to use them but will definitely give it a try once I know what directory I am going to make. Not to forget that you could also use this as a paid directory, link bid directory and it does have dmoz importing function.

I do not have a long experience with ServerFreak but had quite a few encounter with them and their service is simply great. Only a month ago I have move some of my important websites to their semi-dedicated hosting. But I did enquire about their service various time through msn regarding different aspect of their server.

The main reason why I did move to their service is due to their great review, and these review are coming from blogs which are well known. Second reason is because of their packages that suites my requirements. Thirdly, they are base in Malaysia but my server is located in United States, I could call them in their 24/7 line, MSN or submit a ticket when I encounter any problem at all.

So here are my experience, last week, I wanted to clean up my database on my old hosting at Exabytes, but accidentally clean up my existing hosting db [yes, pretty dumb of me]. I lost 10 DBs, not one, called them and everything is back in normal within 1 hours. Moreover, this was on Friday, close to midnight.

I do have other great experience is that their uptime is definitely better than Exabytes, but is a little slow due to location of the server. It was down once for around 5 minutes during the early morning for a month plus with them. Other services like setting up my account, facilitating my migration of my scripts and tickets response if doing great so far.

If you are looking for a Malaysia Webhosting service, ServerFreak should definitely be considered. Hope that this ServerFreak review is helpful as I was worried like hell after confirming the deletion of my database.

Okay, the new Yahoo! Meme is here and I have some invites. Overall I think it loads pretty fast and compare with twitter, has a better design, but it does not have much more better features compare to other Microblogging platform out there. I like the built in Image, Video and Music sharing, but plurk has this but not sharing stuff that is currently residing on your PC.

The only chance of this surviving is to get flickr people to do Photo Microblogging at Yahoo! Meme.

Previously I have posted a pretty good software to check internal pagerank but something happen to SEO Junkie and they are revamping their website. I did not notice it until a person commented on my blog about that. So I begin to search around for the same old software or a new tool which I could use to check internal pagerank. Creating a community with Wordpress MU is not an easy task. I am guessing that most people could only afford shared hosting like me, you will need a webhosting company that would allow wildcard dns. I would strongly recommends Host Gator as I know that they do offer wildcard dns and other configuration needed to run your Wordpress MU. Or you could try Dreamhost as I have installed the Wordpress MU there before than they works great.

If you do not want to bother about the mumbo jumbo of installing Wordpress, uploading plugins, uploading themes, then you can give Blogs.MU a try, firstly they are free if you are using their domain. This is basically a free wordpress mu hosting, but there will be ads and limited control with the free service. I have registered a nice one, http://money.blogs.mu. and the users would be using http://money.blogs.mu/name. Come join my little community.

If you wish to use your own domain, you will have to buy their supporter package that will cost you $9/pack for 10 blogs. Although I am not quite sure about the calculation because 10 blogs meaning you can create 10 MU blogs at Blogs.mu or if we have 9 subscribers to our blog (1 of our own), then the whole package is used up.

You could try out their free service as they have some plugins and themes installed. You will get more with the supporter package. But you can’t ask for more since they are hosting your wordpress mu for free right?

Once a while I tend to remove some twitter users whom I follow and at the same time do not follow me back. Of course I do have some of my own criteria and I don’t mind following someone who are providing me with great information on Twitter.

One of the easiest ways to unfollow people who are not following you on twitter is by using Twitter Karma.This is because Twitter Karma will simply search through your contact list, then list those who follow you, those who don’t and mutual followers. Then you could filter manually and when you are done, simply check “Bulk Unfollow”.

It is good to do some clean up when you are following too many people and you do not have much followers. It is important to maintain certain ratio so that people do not perceive you as a spammer who uses a computer to do mass following.

For new follower, I do use TweetLater to do vetting on users and my condition is also base on the ration someone is following compare to their followers. So remember to unfriend people who are not following you back on twitter, provided they are not active or their tweet they do is useless to you. I will explain about TweetLater  service next time.

Twitter Karma

I always get this email saying Mr.X is currently following me on Twitter! Sometimes I manage to find time to follow back the users but most of the time I just ignore them as it is troublesome to login to my twitter when I am now using Trigga.me to update all my social micro-blogging profiles and also view updates there.

TweetSum is a service for twitter user to follow back those users that are worthy to be followed since they are already a follower of yours. It is devided into three different category whereby you could also choose to not follow users that have low DBI (although I am not really sure how it is rated, and mine is 92.26)

Previously I have posted about the top twitter applications, and twitter has been getting a lot of attention with more applications coming up each day. There is definitely more than 10 twitter client out there whereby you can tweet on your desktop, on your phone, mobile browser, or through third party websites like, Trigga.me.

If you have an idea of using twitter platform for other ussage or building a twitter clone for your country, you can give this application a try. Laconi.ca is the name of the program, and they are opensource. That means free software for you to try and use.

Identi.ca is one of the famous twitter clone that is using Laconi.ca. There are tones of other twitter clone using this. I will be giving it a try on one of this weekend to see how I could benefit fromt this free software. There is also an addon for facebook application for this twitter script.

In the mean time, if you guys have tried it, let me know about the pros and cons of Laconi.ca.

Do you have the time to update all your social profile and micro-blogging profile. But I am seeing that some people are doing that. Currently I have Twitter, Plurk, facebook, FriendFeed, Identi.ca, Rejaw and LinkedIn that are currently supported.

Trigga.me is the service that we are all looking for because you could update all the above social profile with by typing the message once and clicking the submit button once. This is how the web interface looks like.

The interface is simple and similar to most of the microblogging site like twitter. You notice that there is a drop down list at the right. You can make a few groups to group few social profile together. When needed, post accordingly to the groups you need to convey the message.
