May have gone for a little while as I am so much catching up to do with my new job, I had to do a little arrangement. Although I have not been blogging, my interest had always remains the same, and I found this interesting website. It is a Groupon for Webmaster, for those who are not familiar, Groupon is using the group purchasing power and Internet viral marketing to push its products.

It is quite addictive in the United States, and there are a lot of clone spawning in each countries. But the main topic today was to introduce this Mighty Deals website which is mainly for Webmaster, I found it few days back and been looking for some new deals.

OMG, this is not a good news, I got an email from Serverfreak (my webhosting company), that my website is infected with malware code, detected by Google. It was confirmed that the malware is coming from Innity and I have removed them from my website immediately. But it is already 1 day and the status for my website still remains the same when you search through my website.

Worst yet, if you are using chrome, it immediately tell you that my site contains malware when you enter the url. So for now, my Malaysia Classifieds website will suffer some loss of traffic due to this and indirectly means loss of revenue as well.

Hopefully Innity will fix this and Google restore my status as soon as possible as I have already requested for reconsideration about 24 hours now. Anyone had experience on this before or experiencing this now?

Will Google TV or Internet TV replace our Astro soon? It would always depends, not on what is available or if youtube video is good enought for bigger screen LDC/Plasma/3D TV, but strictly depend on our Internet Speed provided by TMNet since they are holding the backbone of our phone network. While mobile speed has it limitation at 14mpbs for 3G (yet, we are so far away from this) until it reaches the 4th generation cellular wireless standard.

Cakap.my was bought a year ago hoping that Status.net (previously laconi.ca) script will actually do better. It actually did better but forgot to address the one most important issue, SPAM. I kinda like this domain and have spend time installing this microblogging script 3 times at different host.

FYI, Status.net is a free twitter script. It is a pretty nice script with the plugin for Facebook Apps and Twitter Apps integration. So you can automatically update both from one micro-blogging site. I manage to setup everything in few hours time but when I brought it live for testing and posted a link at their WiKi, spam started to come one by one. Then I activated Re-Captcha, but it did not keep them out for long. Everytime I got some spam from the user, I had to go phpMyAdmin to execute few lines of SQL as there is no control panel.

This was the same problem with Pligg that uses Re-Captcha I had installed for one of my website. After migrating to WordPress, it works like a charm.

I got the domain for another year, hopefully I could do another great install or find some other ussage for this.

Yes, I am back with Exabytes Hosting. A few months ago I ended my hosting with Exabytes because I am getting quite frequent downtime with Exabytes, then I was offered a free hosting by Exabytes just a week ago. They had given me this hosting for free, to prove that their move to AIMS datacenter will improve their server uptime, previously their servers with TM Net. I did not need any extra hosting but since they are free (I already had 2), I think that it is great to give them a try.

I have transfered one of my website back to Exabytes, it is at Mart.com.my. Although Serverfreak uptime has been great so far, I still miss the Exabytes load speed for Malaysian and it is still the same with AIMS datacenter.

Submit a ticket for SSH in order for me to transfer my domain quickly, and within 2 minutes it is activated. It was pretty much the same as previously.

It seems that Webmaster Malaysia got Spammed and at the same time Malaysia Webmaster also got spammed on every forum category. I used to be a regular at Webmaster Malaysia learning about building website, Internet Marketing, SEO and even getting hosting review. Although I do not visit it recently, they are still great community portal if you want to interact with Malaysia Webmaster.

A recently new Bing search engine by Microsoft that is suppose to compete with Google and Yahoo! for a bigger market share. Just notice that even Live.com is redirecting to this new Bing Bling. Nevertheless, I think that the searches is pretty quick but they have not face the full force load since not much people know about this new search engine.

Also, I like the integration of newer technology like the mouseover to take a peek on the text displayed on the target homepage. Everything happens quite fast and smoothly. Not to mention that the results is pretty good and relavant. It is weird that I kinda like the result from MSN searches, but do not visit them often for references. I notice they updates pretty quickly and might be that they do not have a sandbox like Google that do not rank new (recently registered) website highly.

I log on to my Facebook and found out that there is an interesting events with the title “Hi, I just lost my hp. Can you please give me your contact ?“. It is a friend of mine who lost his phone and he is trying to get back all his contact inside his phone.

Quite a good idea to get others attention and from the post, I think he got back quite a lot of his contacts.

Simply a great way of using Facebook.

Okay, I am testing this out since I registered this account a while ago thinking for a website idea. Unfortunately, I am stuck with a lot of projects of my own and will not be able to push this project ahead. This is basically a Twitter account, if you are interested to get updated with the latest Malaysia News. Follow with the latest update from Malaysia News, all you need is your twitter account or you can just grab the Malaysia News feed from this account.

I have include news from New Straits Times, Sinchew, Malaysia Kini, Guangming, Malay Mail and Utusan. But I could not get the feed from TheStar due to their feeds no having date & time. Tried forwarding the feed to feedburner, but still have the same problem. If you know any local newspaper with feeds, let me know and I will include them into the list.

Yup, there is a bug, and when I checked my version, it says version 1.02. I was too dependent on the plugin auto-update that comes with wordpress 2.2 above. Unfortunately, there is some who would just slip away. Thanks to CPU from Belarus who leave me a comment notifying me about the loophole. I am now updated with the latest version of Show Top Commentators plugin, version 1.06.

The loophole from the previous version even 1.05 is that when someone new comments with the same name from the top commentators list, but replace the website url with their own homepage, the original commentator will not get the credit rather the new url will replace until the original commentator come back to comment again.
