I know that there is little domain which will be successful for .my domain, therefore, I have carefully check each day on which domain is registered and which of them are available. After browsing for months, I have 3 domains in mind which I would hope to get yesterday morning.  Out of the 3 domains, I only manage to get one domain, and I checked the domain again after the registration to confirm that it is registered, and it is NOT AVAILABLE.

After a busy day, I did not manage to find time to call for confirmation because the billing process is 14 days within I register for the domain. I call IPXcess this morning they do not have record of my domain then I call MYNIC, I was told that the domain was registered by another person. Asking them why my registration was invalid, they told me that my reseller server did not respond. I really had nothing to say and belief that it is simple ripping me of my domain. Sad to say, I do not have a printer to print my confirmation at home.

I was too busy today trying to get some good second level domain for .my (malaysia). Unfortunately, I could only bank in 1 domain from three which I had in mind. I actually register them with IPXcess because previously I have a domain record with them, thinking it would be faster and easier as we need a company to register Malaysia 2LD. Although Malaysia third level domain (3LD) is open worldwide most mynic reseller still ask for company information.

Hopefully the domain I got is really good, I will be doing it very soon because I have few project currently at hand. Do not forget to support my New Website.  Currently, I have one website which will launch but it is mainly business website, not blog related.

I will be attending Fabian Lim’s Internet Marketing Boot Camp next week and I am reader with all needed software installed on my trusty HP Notebook. I will be away from 28th to 30th March, and will be studying at J.W Marriot. I am actually looking forward to learn more about Affiliate Marketing because it is really very new to me and I have little to no success in this field.

Until now, I felt a little down because it took a very long time for them to solve my account problem even though I send them multiples support tickets and until I give success resources a call to resolve the problem.

Also, I really thought that I will be able to get the World Internet Academy account to preview what is inside the program. World Internet Academy (WIA) is suppose to include video and detail guidance for people who likes to learn more about Internet Marketing. But I could not find the steps to signup from World Internet Academy from their member page, I will see if they reply their support ticket this time.

Overall, I am pumped, looking at pictures from the previous boot camp, it seems very packed, I hope that I could get valuable advice from this Internet Marketing Malaysia Boot Camp.

My latest creation for websmaster to promote their new website online. Newly Website is installed using an open source script that I belief most people would know. It is a digg alike script whereby it rank the website base on votes. The more the votes, the higher it goes, but the entry date plays a role as well.

If you have a new website, Newly Website is a great place to promote you site. It has been launch a while now and slowly I am getting some visitor which will be useful to promote your new website.

It is currently on the very first page for the keyword “Latest Websites”.

My contest actually failed miserably as there is only an increase of 3 feed subscription via email. The chance of wining this contest is a whooping 2/3 (66.67%). No harm done since I got this Entrecard Credit from Problogger and I got a link with some extra traffic. Overall I think it fails because of few reasons and lack of experience. Also, I have no use for the Entrecard because it is not working well for me. Here are some reason where you may fail contest.

Post Frequency
Out of the 21 days, I manage to write only 13 post. Less post frequency means I have less ping on blog aggregator which will result in less visitor. If you were to launch a contest, ensure that you have time to post at least a post a day. Or write them in advance and use post timestamp.

Promotion
It would be good to have other promotional technique and advertising campaign running at the same time because will much more effective and advertising campaign will come hand in hand with the contest.

Plan, Plan and Plan
Finally, there is a lack of planing and things come out at my work which I have to handle. When you see other contest, it seems pretty easy because they already have the existing reader. Whereelse, I am only trying to gain more reader from a contest.

Overall, from this contest I did spend a little time coming out with my Announcement Add-on for your Blog.
