As always, whoever pay us more we like them right? This is partially true because Google Adsense is still my highest earner. Previously I did started well with Kontera but income slips to cents/day altough traffic does increases and I felt trap because my earning is at $50.00+ but the payout is only at $100.

Chitika is a totatly different advertisements system, a little similar to amazon ads and having some inteligent to detect the source of the traffic from search engine by showing relating products or services. Chitika is pretty fair because they do not appear if there is no related ads and if the traffic is coming from non-paying region, the advertisements does not appear as well.

The ads look like this but they have quite a lot of different sizes and different type of advertisements that you could do try out on your blog.

Best of all, minimum payout is only $10.00  (via paypal) and $50.00 (via Check). I am using paypal because I could use them to purchase domain and pay hosting easily. Anyway there is method to withdraw from Paypal if the money starts piling up in Paypal. Payment is okay, one month after you accumulated the trashold (USD10 if you are using paypal).

So far, Chitika is not earning as much as Kontera as I have receives my first payment from Kontera, but Chitika was only installed one one of my blog and Kontera is actually installed on 2. With this rate, I am sure that Chitika will pickup pretty quickly.

If you are a blogger who wants to earn some small money for domain and hosting, you should check out Chitika.

p/s This is my personal Chitika Review, you have have a different experience.

  1. Adi, until today I still confuse that Chitika is a CPC network or Pay Per Sales network. Is it something like Adsense but it just shows ads to certain organic traffic?

I did tried Chitika some time ago but the payout is pretty low compared to Adsense. Hence I have stopped using it altogether. Anyway might give it a try again soon. :D

MMO: I believe they have PPC and CPM campaign depending on what type of ads you choose. The above mentioned is their new PPC campaign. You can run with adsense because their banner size never look similar with adsense

tekkaus: You are right, compare to adsese, they are low but it still bring in income. Anyway USD10 could be achieve everymonth. So it is good to know that you will get paid monthly. :)

Chitika sounds like an alright system, but can anything really takeover from adsense? I guess Adsense is always the preferred revenue stream, but it’s always good to have variety.. it’s good to try different things

  5. eyeman says:

ehm..its too hard for me to earn well with chitika. I guess i need to learn and try hard if want to make more money with chitika.

  6. Free Memo says:

had heard good things about Chitika, but it was just one of those things that I never quite got around to checking out. Finally, I went to the website, had the code installed in minutes, and Chitika instantly became one of my top revenue sources in the first month! There was literally no learning curve or optimization, so I’m sure my results will be even better once I delve deeper.

  7. I use Chitika, and it does ok, but nowhere near as well as Adsense. My biggest gripe is that the analytics aren’t very good so I cannot track which sites are doing well with it very easily.
