If you have admin panel and rights to approve any entry then how is that possible? I don’t think like this.

@ Adi – how so? If you set it so that you manually approve submissions, noone sees anything until you’ve decided that it’s ok.

Remote DB: that is actually worst…then all spam will be views by my visitors

Erica: I had like 200+, one page view of 20 submission, so I have to do it like more than 10 times in batch of 20s.

When you say spam, how many entries are you talking about? My directories have never had more than 8 spam submissions at once. You must have gotten hit hard.

I actually think the spammer got through a php script, or loophole in WordPress. I hadn’t upgraded one of my clients blogs to 2.7.1 and the spammer got into every file on my server. I’m so glad that I have everything fixed and secured for the time being.

Don’t you have the software set up so you have to manually approve submissions?

That would be the easiest way to stop this sort of thing.

Spam drives me absolutely crazy. Something recently hacked through my host and dropped some nasty javascript into the index file of folder on my server.
