so many problems w/ e72...i should have bought a blackberry instead...my e72 came back from the nokia care. Apparently they made alot of repairs w/ it... A lot, i mean a lot. My friend who is a phone technician for more the 10years was shocked to what nokia made w/ my phone. Now its not yet fixed. Wifi is good, sound is good, optical navi and camera is dead. When you activate the camera it would just hang, optical navi doesn't seem to start. Sometimes the headset appears even though there is not headset attached. When you restart the phone it will continuosly restart unless you take of the battery... So much hassle w/ this phone. A technician said the hardware is having problems and should be replaced. Whew... I did not have any problems when i was using e63. Upgrading to this phone is such a bad decision. I should have read first blogs etc. befoe buying e72..

hmmm i do not know the reason behind all those restarting problem. I bought my E72 a few months back and as of this moment i do not have any big problem with it like restarting. The problem i do sometimes face is that my E72 got hang or jamm or something in those lines. But it rarely happen. Maybe i am not really a heavy user or maybe i am just lucky at the moment. haha

based on my previous experience, the hard reset won't help. Problem solved only when i restored the default setting for the font.

I do believe the phone need to be turned off once in a while as part of resetting the configurations. Since i do travel by air a lot, i will usually turn it off at least twice a week before boarding the plane... so no hard reset required so far for my E72.

As a previously satisfied Nokia user for 12 years, end of last year I purchased two E52's. Constant problems, reboots regardless of firmware levels, and finally two phones, wasting my time with Nokia Care (who were useless), having wasted 200 hours trying to have the issues resolved through the retailer and consumer affairs and 5 months to get a full refund, I'm really wary about continuing with Nokia.

Did you know there is no way to actually raise a complaint with Nokia directly ? You can only go through the retailer or Nokia care (or hopeful that you'll get a Nokia employee trawling the forums).

I have read many complaints/faults around the E72 (which was my next logical choice for a handset - I actually like the look and feel of the E52/E72 and S60 V3 FP2 - pity they don't work reliably.

The E72 has similar problems to the E52 - reboots, hangs, dead phones, etc.

I really am loathed to buy another Nokia until their hardware, software and QA guys get their sh!t together.

Really disappointed Nokia have been pushing half baked products. It's no wonder no carrier in Australia is supplying the handset range available to the rest of the world - probably because they have high rates of returns!
