I had no choice to change to another theme quickly as my previous wordpress theme, Forte is actually not compatible with the latest wordpress 2.8 but I did not notice as I was too busy and had no time to even update this blog. Basically all comments are disabled, even though I have enable them in all my posts in post level and also settings.
Thanks to Lee who contacted me about this issue, I had to quickly change the theme as my troubleshooting shows that it is the problem with the theme and I could not identify the part of the code having problem, even having to replace the comment.php file with the wordpress default file does not work either.
I believe this new theme is working fine and I am pretty happy with the look, it is actually a magazine theme that I have edit it to look like a blog again. The only cons about this theme is the footer that is encrypted because they are affraid that we delete the credit to the theme developer. Anyhow I do not do that, previous footer stay intact for the whole priod, but having the footer I could add my stats there whereby the processing is done later, and visitor will not notice the lags.
Ouh….so it’s quite troublesome when you are using wordpress right? I prefer the former theme though.
not really, usually there is support on most theme during update, but overall wordpress does ease my job a lot. Like scheduling post, control of perma link, widget control, ads placement and changes with ease, contact form, categories and much more.
well…it’s a nice theme..i came across this theme a couple of times now, never thought it would ended as your theme…just my 2 cents, remove the archive from sidebar and put it on the navigation links. i used simple yearly archive for that and it’s very easy to use. with your long archives, it took a whole lot of space at the sidebar
well…the real thing behind the footer is where people easily get backlinks to their side with their targeted keyword…brilliant i should say
that’s why they value the credit so damn much !

Hey Adi, thanks for mentioning me in this post. This themes look great and better than Forte, you know I used Forte before too. Now I’m using a customize theme that designed by my friend. I’ll be changing to another theme in short time soon.

I only suggest a theme change when there is a security issue. I think theme 2.8 has many security patches.
this is better than the other one.
